My car has uneven brake force why?
Took my car in for a Warrant of Fitness (saftey check) and I failed due to uneven braking pressure. I think it got something like 120kg force on one side and 150 on the other, same big difference for the hand brake.
Car is a 1989 Mazda 626, uses disc brakes for both handbrake and brake. Have checked the pads – thought that may have been the problem looks like they have been changed recently and they appear to have been worn fairly evenly. Have only had the car 3 months.
fronts=sticky floating caliper or pistons[nowt to do with pads]causing unballanced braking.
rears=same,plus handbrake/discs need freeing and greasing up
