Interior Design Study Question about Fitness Center?
What element does fitness center require if somebody want to build a fitness center?
I just checked into all this last year as we were thinking of starting a circuit gym.
It all depends on what type of gym you want and what you can afford.
A regular full guy is costly and requires at least 3,000-4,000 sq ft at the smallest. You need alot of equipment for all major muscle groups and cardio machines too.
A center needs to be big and a square or rectangle design works best.
With circuit training you can get away with 1,000 sq ft as the machines are in a circle and the patrons go around for only 30 mins and then get off. People join in at any time.
And with the bigger gym you need high ceilings, at least 12 ft.
