Bike Gloves

What is the best way to minimize calluses from riding a bike?
When I ride my bike with nothing on my hands I get BAD calluses but I have these gloves that are for weight lifing and they help a little but not enough. Is there some kind of gloves that will help this from happening?
No, solvent, I’m doing BMX road biking. Since what I do are jumps and tricks, you need to hold on to the handle bars tight.
There are gloves specific for mountain biking. If you go to a bike shop, they should have a variety of gloves for you to choose from. Road bike gloves are more about comfort than strength/protection, so those might not work too well. I had the same happen when I didn’t wear gloves. I used some cheap Bell gloves to start with and that did it. You should look at glove reviews here http://www.mtbr.com/ That can help you make a decision.
