Moving from the UK to work and live in Los Angeles?

I am currently studying to become a Personal Trainer/fitness instructor and will complete my training at the end of the year. I am interested in moving to the USA, Los Angeles to become a personal trainer and part time police officer as this is also a life dream. Im struggling to find answers as to where to start :S Ive looked at visas etc but getting a job in LA from UK to start with is another problem…. can anyone lead me in the right direction please? Thanks

It is nearly impossible for a U.K. citizen to work in or immigrate to the U.S. Los Angeles is overrun with personal trainers…and you would need to be a citizen to be a police officer in L.A. or anywhere else. The ONLY way to get a temporary work visa for the U.S. is to find an employer to sponsor your work visa…you need a rare and much needed work skill and an immense amount of luck. See 1st site below. to immigrate, you must have an employer sponsor or an immediate family member to sponsor you. U.K. citizens are not eligible for the diversity lottery program…which only gives a slim chance anyway and takes many years. Dozens of Brit write in here every week wanting to work in or move to the U.S….and it simply cannot be done. I know this is not the news you wanted to here, but you need to know the realities…so you can develop a new plan for your life that will work. It is equally difficult, if not MORE so, for an american tomove to and work in the U.K.
